Coleman makes staff announcements
Jay E. McGregor joined the Coleman Company as vice president, sales, the Americas and Canada. McGregor directs sales and distribution of new and existing Coleman products at the mass channel, and will lead Coleman's specialty outdoor market efforts that reach customers in the sporting goods, specialty, pool and patio, household, food and drug, marine, premium, club, government, catalog, Internet and direct/retail sales channels. McGregor reports to Coleman President and CEO Gary A. Kiedaisch.
McGregor also will serve on the senior management team and, through direct reports, will guide national accounts, field accounts, special markets, sales operations and customer and consumer service functions. He is responsible for new product and program introductions.
Immediately prior to Coleman, McGregor was vice president, sales and marketing at Spyder Active Sports, a leading brand of high-end skiwear and outerwear apparel.
The Coleman Company also has named Simon W. Traynor as president, Coleman Asia Pacific. In his role, Traynor will have responsibility for the organization's fiscal function and performance, for all activities related to sales and marketing strategy, for leading the organization into markets and channels not currently pursued and for management of the sourcing and distribution of Coleman products. He will report to Kiedaisch.
Traynor most recently was sales director of DC Shoes Asia Pacific, where he led category management and managed 13 regional country teams and the Australian sales/operations team.

Paddock Pools, Patios & Spas hired Nancy Bull as its senior patio furniture and accessories buyer. In her new position, Bull is responsible for buying a vast assortment of furniture and accessories to meet consumers' backyard needs. She brings experience as a buyer and product development manager for large corporations, such as Pet-Smart, Elizabeth Arden Salons and Dillard's department stores.
Peter Blackshaw was named national sales manager of Padma's Plantation. Blackshaw was formerly the sales manager of Hospitality Textiles and brings more than 25 years of sales experience to Chicago-based Padma's Plantation.
Neil Streitfeld has joined Pride Family Brands as merchandise manager of the SummerWinds division, responsible for leading mass market sales and China manufacturing.
Rhonda Travis has been appointed merchandise manager for the Castelle, Prestige and Expressions divisions and will manage the sales force and the customer service department.
In related news, Jamie Lowsky, CEO, announced the appointments of several sales representatives who have joined the Pride team for the company's specialty divisions, Prestige and Castelle.
Mark & Cheri Kutsch, Mark Kutsch Sales Associates, will represent Wisconsin and Illinois; Donn Raseman will represent Michigan; Peter Allaire, Matt Allaire and Andy Shapiro of PGA Marketing will represent Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont and Maine; Dick Mulcahy of RC Mulcahy & Associates will represent northern California, and Steve Tunnicliffe will represent Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio and western Pennsylvania.
Gloster Furniture recognized Brad Elliott as its 2006 Sales Representative of the Year and Tommy Durden received the 2006 Sales Growth Award. Elliott's territory includes Georgia and the Carolinas, while Durden covers the central region of the country.
New River Casual Furniture has selected Carson Heath Inc. to cover the Southeast United States, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Carson Heath will serve North and South Carolina; Phil Spring, Georgia, Tennessee and Alabama, and Mike and Becky Runnells will serve Florida, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. Tom Hebson of Hebson Sales Associates also was named as a sales representative, covering the states of Illinois and Indiana.
Kristy Bickings was appointed national sales manager for Ebel. She formerly served as customer service manager. Kai Ebel was named operations manager of the corporate headquarters and warehouse facility.
Woodard named Mark Gold as its retail sales representative of the year. Gold has worked for Woodard for more than 27 years, covering the Texas, Oklahoma and western Arkansas territory. During his tenure, Gold has won this award six times for achieving exceptional growth in all three product lines.
