The Chair King's President and CEO, Marvin Barish, has named his son, David Barish, to succeed him as president. Marvin Barish will continue working as chairman and CEO. Jackie Barish has been appointed vice president of design and development. The Chair King is the largest casual furniture retailer in Texas with 13 retail stores in Houston, San Antonio and Austin.

James Westrich, general manager of Algoma Net, retired at the end of 2004. His duties now are shared by Sales Manager Dale Massey and Plant Manager Paul Berkovitz.

Opus Incorporated has promoted Michael Reilly to president and chief operating officer. Reilly previously served as chief financial officer and vice president of operations for Opus. In his new role, Reilly will be responsible for day-to-day operations. John Stone, former president of Opus, has assumed the role of chairman and CEO. Stone will focus on business development, product development and marketing.

Cal Spas named Harold "Hal" R. Hufford as vice president of home resort sales. Responsible for all sales and lead generation, Hufford will supervise and manage multiple regional sales managers and inside sales representatives. Prior to joining Cal Spas, Hufford was vice president, sales and marketing at Sonance, a Clemente, Calif.-based distributor of audio and home theater applications.

Terry Stewart was named president of CBK, replacing long-time president Randy Eller. Stewart joined the company two years ago as national sales manager and in the past two years has taken on increased responsibilities, including product development, marketing and customer service. Renee Williams has replaced Stewart as national sales manager. She will be responsible for the entire CBK sales organization.

Marty Berk has joined Meadowcraft as a sales representative for the New England States. Berk has worked in the casual furniture industry for more than 20 years. His territory includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Homefires added two employees to help address administrative requirements of handling customer service via Internet shopping. Gailyn Dinkens and Corinne Kennedy will handle sales support and data entry, respectively.

Jordan S. Beckner, president of FiberBuilt Umbrellas, was awarded the Master Hotel Supplier Recognition by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. The MHS is the highest award the institute offers a supplier for the hospitality industry. Beckner has served as president for four years.
