Laneventure partners with Riverwood Casual

Staff -- Casual Living, 9/1/2006 12:00:00 AM

Laneventure and Riverwood Casual have formed an alliance that will have Laneventure exclusively market the products manufactured at Riverwood's Lexington, N.C. facility. This move continues Laneventure's development as a full line resource of outdoor furnishings while allowing Riverwood to focus on further developing its superb manufacturing capabilities and marketing both lines to select contract accounts.

This new relationship was first in evidence with the introduction of the Coastal Classic Collection from Cabana Joe's during the premarket at Chicago in July. This 20-piece collection of Adirondack-styled items was developed with upscale coastal cottage style in mind.

Premarket also marked the return of the Bob Timberlake Collection's Adirondack styles now marketed as a part of Timberlake's outdoor furniture collection by Laneventure. Existing Riverwood collections will be marketed by Laneventure through this transition for dealers currently offering these lines at retail.

"In just a few years, Riverwood has become known as the leading producer of stylish, premium quality Adirondack furniture," said Art Thompson, Laneventure president, "and we believe that with this alliance the category will experience even further growth."

"The dramatic growth of our company led us to this arrangement with Laneventure," said Marshall Edwards, CEO of Riverwood, which has manufactured indoor/outdoor casual furniture since 1998. "With this alliance we are now poised for dramatic growth into the future."
