Capel names president and CEO

Promotes Bruce Hric to post

Capel’s board of directors promoted Bruce Hric, interim president and chief executive officer, to the permanent position of president and CEO of Capel, Inc.

Jesse Capel, director and owner, explained the company’s preference to promote from within, paired with Hric’s innate ability to unite all levels of management, made Hric a clear choice for the position.
“We are pleased to reward Bruce for his nine years of service with Capel by giving him the full responsibilities of this role,” Capel said. “He has served exceptionally well as acting president and CEO for the last year. The future of Capel is in good hands with this promotion.”

Hric officially began serving with the new title on Dec. 1, after having served as interim president and CEO for 14 months. During this time, Hric focused on product development, strengthening key industry relationships and reinvigorating Capel’s braided rug manufacturing efforts.

“I am honored Capel’s owners and board of directors asked me to accept this role,” Hric said. “This is an exciting time for Capel, Inc. I am looking forward to taking on the challenges of today’s industry and building on Capel’s 90 years of stellar performance.”

Prior to his tenure with Capel, Hric had served as a vice president of Koury Corporation for 13 years, was vice president of finance and administration for Interline Furniture for two years, and had worked with Flynt Fabrics for eight years.
