Carls Patio has appointed Arthur Thompson to its board of directors.
Thompson, the former president of Laneventure for more than two decades, was most recently honored with the International Casual Furnishings Association’s Lifetime Achievement Award.
“We are thrilled to have Art join our board,” said Gary Ecoff, president of Carls Patio. “The opportunity to draw upon his wealth of experience and knowledge of our industry is invaluable. Art’s expertise in branding, marketing and product adds significant depth to our organization. The fact that he is a great guy and his DNA is well suited for our group is just a bonus.”
"From its inception I have been deeply impressed with the Carls organization; the merchandising, the presentation and, most importantly, the people,” Thompson said. “I am delighted to become a part of their exciting future.”
Carls Patio is one of the nation’s largest retailers of high-end outdoor furniture with 12 locations in Florida and six in California. The Boca Raton-based retailer most recently acquired the three-store Frellen’s chain in the San Francisco Bay area.
