50th annual Apollo Awards finalists named

The International Casual Furnishings Association named the following retailers as finalists for the 50th annual Apollo Awards, which recognizes excellence in the sales, marketing and customer service.

The ICFA board of directors will select the two winners by secret ballot. Finalists will be honored and winners announced at a gala awards banquet Sept. 23, during the International Casual Furniture & Accessories Market in Chicago. The ICFA and Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. are co-sponsors of the event, which will be held in the Great Hall at Chicago's Union Station.

Finalists in the 2009 competition include:

Authenteak Outdoor Furniture, Atlanta

Fruehauf's Patio & Garden Center, Boulder, Colo.

The Pool and Patio Center, Metairie, La.

Sunnyland Furniture, Dallas

Williams All Seasons, Highland Park, Ill.

Multi-Store Category:

ABSCO Fireplace & Patio, Birmingham, Ala.

Carls Patio, Boca Raton, Fla.

Fishels, Portland, Ore.

Greenhouse Mall, Austin, Texas

Patios Plus, Rancho Mirage, Calif.
