SUN takes Italian style to the Middle East

International outdoor products show launches SUN DUBAI

Less than two months after SUN held its 25th International Exhibition of Outdoor Products at the Rimini Expo Center in Italy, it announced SUN DUBAI will offer Italian style in outdoor furnishings March 1-4, at the Madinat Jumeirah Resort.
     
The economic capital of the seven states that make up the United Arab Emirates, Dubai has adopted a development policy less dependent on oil and more oriented toward services and tourism, with an investment of $365 billion until 2015. This economic strategy has translated into a property boom moving Dubai into first place in urban development. 
      
“The Middle East is the new frontier of made-in-Italy products,” said Sergio Rossi, general manager of Fiere e Comunicazioni, the founder and organizer of SUN. “The Arab market, in fact, is characterized by a very high purchasing power and, at the same time, by a strong demand for technology, quality and style. With SUN DUBAI, we want to create a new business platform for the Italian companies in the outdoor products sector.” 
      
SUN DUBAI will take place within the framework of the second edition of SIA GUEST DUBAI, organized by Rimini Fiera. Following positive results at its debut in March 2007 with 19 companies and more than 100 visitors, the event dedicated to the best of Italian production in the hospitality sector will return. In addition to exhibition spaces, companies participating in SUN DUBAI and SIA GUEST DUBAI will have a pre-set schedule of focused one-to-one meetings with selected buyers: investment groups, hotel chains, importers, specialized distributors, builder groups, architects, and designers, as well as journalists and the local authorities.
      
Piero Venturelli, general manager of Rimini Fiera, said SUN Dubai will benefit from the business relationships developed over the years ago in the Emirates and will be attended by companies in the hospitality and outdoor products sector that appreciate made-in-Italy style.
