Traditional furniture with a twist is highlighted, while past influences are center stage, with several collections emerging from historical designs.

Country-style is no longer strictly white wicker, as darker finishes emerge, and wood and aluminum pieces hit the high country. For more, see Casual Living’s September issue.

From the Wrangler Home Collection, the Corapeake rocking chair by Carter Grandle is crafted of cast metal but finished to echo wood construction.

Colonial Mills’ Pinstripe Border rug, part of the Simply Home Collection by Janelle Lampp, features a patriotic red and blue stripe on the braided outdoor rug.

The Mount Vernon bench is part of a licensed line between Terra Furniture and the estate of first President George and Martha Washington. Crafted of cast and extruded aluminum, the bench can seat three adults on its 64-inch seat and features a ladder-back design.
