New Harbour names vice presidents
New Harbour president Peter Jerome announced the promotion of Tracy Robin to vice president of sales and marketing and the addition of Fernando Farinha as vice president of operations.
Robin has been with the company since July 1999, starting as a part-time retail sales person in the showroom and moving her way through the company, becoming the customer service manager and then national sales manager.
New Harbour has also made many changes to the manufacturing side of its business this year by hiring Farinha. He will be responsible for all manufacturing operations as well as customer service, scheduling and purchasing.
He joins the organization with 14-plus years of experience in the textile industry working in various capacities from production to customer service.
Tervis Tumbler adds board member
Tervis Tumbler appointed Randy L. White, former president and CEO of PGT Industries, to its board of directors. White had led PGT successfully through periods of growth and transition from private to publicly held entity.
The North Venice, Fla.-based insulated drinkware manufacturer closed 2006 at slightly more than $24 million in sales, and is pacing around 40% growth annually.
Casual Creations expands sales force
Casual Creations has expanded its force of sales representatives. The reps will be responsible for the Casual Creations line and a higher end boutique division to be launched in July.
Michael Bobes and Kim Manfrin, will manage California and Arizona. Phillip Hobbs will be responsible for North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama. Brent Crane will be responsible for Casual Creations' continued growth in the territory including West Virginia, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware and Washington, D.C.
Forrest Dunlap will be responsible for Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. Gary Gartside, formerly with manufacturers such as Samsonite and Carter Grandle, will be responsible for Florida.
Suncoast makes territory changes
Suncoast Aluminum Furniture has added Dennis Ritter, Brad Lloyd and Kevin Gardiner as sales representatives.
Ritter is a longtime industry representative with extensive knowledge and experience in direct import, and will be lead sales associate and will report directly to Rick Baker, national sales manager.
Lloyd brings industry experience including 20 years in the casual furniture business as a retailer, a sub-rep in the Mid-Atlantic states and more than 15 years as an independent sales representative. Lloyd will report directly to Chad Harper, contract sales manager. Gardiner, formerly with a competitor of Suncoast, will be responsible for building the Nebraska, Kansas, Mississippi and Iowa markets.
The company also will celebrate its 25th anniversary at the September Casual Show.
