Two Palms reports rapid expansion

Company boasts expanded showroom for High Point Market

-- Casual Living, 3/27/2008 10:48:00 AM

Two Palms Casual, the casual furniture division of Furniture Classics Ltd., will debut more than 30 new items at the High Point Market, April 7-13, adding to its rapidly expanding product line.

“The response to the Two Palms division, which is just over a year old, has been amazing,” said Jeannie Bethel, national sales manager for Two Palms. “One of the biggest trends in the furniture industry is the emergence of the casual lifestyle — bringing the outdoors inside and the indoors out. Our dealers are seeking to capitalize on this trend, and Two Palms fits the need with casual, yet refined styles.”

Michael Ricks, president of Furniture Classics, added, “The Two Palms assortment adds a fresh, unexpected flavor to our dealers’ floors, especially to those not typically carrying outdoor or casual indoor furniture. While many manufacturers have stayed level or reduced their new introductions, we have rapidly expanded Two Palms to meet the growing requests of our dealers.”

Two Palms will add 10 new pieces to its Key Largo Collection, made of salt-water soaked rattan for a washed gray/beige finish that works well in coastal, mountain and cottage environments. Introductions include a bench, dining table, several new chairs and a settee. Key Largo is designed for use indoors or outdoors in a sheltered area.

Also debuting will be Monterey, a collection of all-weather wicker with clean lines and a contemporary/transitional feel. Monterey will feature a java-brown wicker finish, complemented with teak legs, and will be offered in both deep seating and dining options.

Items will also be added to the South Beach and Martinique collections, both of which are made of natural woven rattan with pole rattan framing, and are suitable for indoor use. South Beach has contemporary styling and a sleek black finish, while Martinique is carried out in a warm pecan finish that works well in transitional settings.

For the first time, Two Palms and Furniture Classics will share a space in High Point, at Furniture Classics’ 12,000-sq.-ft. showroom in Showplace 2401. A grand opening celebration with live music, hors d’oeuvres and drinks is planned for April 6 at 5 p.m.
