Torrans expands contract offerings
Adds heavy duty grade metal commercial chair

Traditional and classic styled stamped metal lawn furniture maker Torrans Manufacturing Company now offers for the first time a commercial-rated stamped metal outdoor lawn chair.
Marketed in heavy duty grade, Torrans’ new chair increases the weight rating of its standard chair from 275 lbs. to 325 lbs., yet the function and styling of the chair remain virtually unchanged. Thicker steel tubular material, along with an added front cross member, accounts for the added capability.

The latest addition to its line was developed with help from Torrans’ list of commercial clients and through identifying the special needs of these customers.
When asked why this addition was needed, Co-owner and Vice President Louis Torrans said, “We know our chairs are stronger than similar pieces from even the mid-1940s. That’s in our warranty. But, a few of our restaurant customers have asked us about a stronger frame for extended service in commercial use. We’re using these new chairs in our own restaurant, Glory Dayz, and they’ve proved themselves to be plenty tough for us so I’m certain they’ll work for anyone needing the extra service.”
By adding this commercial grade chair to its catalog, TMC intends to build on its contract sales which have seen a marked growth over the just past two years.
Nine years ago, TMC’s line consisted of just one classic chair style in only five colors. Today, the Jefferson, Texas-based manufacturer produces five traditional styles, available in more than 20 colors. Many of these are also available in gliders, bar chair, folding and stacking chairs plus a variety of tables and coolers Their customer base extends throughout the continental United States, and includes several major catalogs and restaurants in Florida, Texas, Kansas and California.
