I found the Retail Ideas workshop very worthwhile, with a great presentation on the bottom line (making a profit) and fantastic advertising and marketing tips. There were good opportunities to network and find out what my fellow retailers are doing.

The Retail Ideas workshop was a great springboard for developing ideas that will help me in a very practical way.
JR Diffee, President
Colony House, Arlington, VA
I thoroughly enjoyed the first Retail Ideas workshop, not only for the content but for the way it was well organized and professionally presented. The highlight for me was the presentation by Dr. Bates. His message is one that would be valuable for any retailer ... no matter what their size.
Sam Fishbein, CEO
Kacey Fine Furniture, Denver, CO
The Retail Ideas workshop packed lots of useful information in a shortperiod of time and was never boring. That's a feat in in itself. I came away with lots of useful tools and ideas for making our company more profitable and a stronger brand.Plus I enjoyed the chance to talk to other retailers of varying sizes and types.
Sandy Nunnally, VP Marketing & Advertising
The Roomstore, Richmond, VA
I have personally been in the furniture business for the better part of forty years. I have been to many industry conferences, conventions and seminars that claimed to be 'the best'. The first Retail Ideas Seminar did not make that claim; but it was indeed the best I have ever attended. The speakers, the information and the interaction with other retailers made it well worth the time and expenditure.
You should rename the seminar 'Retail Survival'. I have already begun implementing some of the suggestions made at the seminar and will do more as time goes on. Thank you.
Ray Kenney, President
Pasadena Furniture, Pasadena, Maryland
The conference covered key issues retailers are struggling with today...including how not only to survive, but grow! Also how important it is for a retailer today to "brand" your store with an image that will keep the consumer coming back. It's more important than ever to find your niche in the marketplace and promote it. I think everyone was able to take something home with them that could be applied to their own business! Bravo! on the first Retail Ideas Conference.
