Palecek wins ARTS Award for outdoor products

Palecek, the Richmond, Calif.-based manufacturer of woven furniture, accessories and lighting, won the ARTS Award in the outdoor living category during the recent Dallas Total Home & Gift Market.

More than 500 guests attended the gala event, which recognizes retailers, manufacturers, sales representatives and designers in the decorative accessories industry.

This is the first time Palecek has won in the outdoor living category. The company was previously honored several times in the accent furnishings category and was a 2007 ARTS Award Hall of Fame Inductee for being a five-time winner.

Mark Abrams, a Greensboro, N.C.-based designer and visual merchandising expert who has served as a judge for Casual Living's annual Merchandising Awards since 2005, won the ARTS Award in the product designer category.
