Casual furniture manufacturers and retailers can connect online now via new virtual showroom tours at CasualLiving.com. The virtual tours benefit those who could not meet in person at last month’s International Casual Furniture and Accessories Premarket in Chicago and those who want a second look. “We knew manufacturers would have new product introductions and would want to show buyers who didn't come in July what would be in store for them at the September market,” said Casual Living publisher Norman Hamilton.
Each video tour, ranging from two to five minutes in length, previews a company's new lines and shows the product fully merchandised in the Chicago showroom. The tours also give viewers a feel for expansions at the Merchandise Mart in the last year.
Companies that have posted showroom video tours include Agio, Castelle, Ebel, Gloster, Lloyd/Flanders, OW Lee, Telescope Casual, Tropitone and Whitecraft.
The virtual tours have given participating manufacturers a big marketing boost, Hamilton said. He noted Casualliving.com welcomes 30,000 unique visitors every month. Participants also received copies of their virtual tours, allowing reps to show the tours anywhere to existing and prospective customers.
For information on posting a virtual showroom tour, contact Hamilton at 336-605-3790 or norman.hamilton@reedbusiness.com.
