Phil Sweet has joined Agio as a territorial sales representative for five Southern states. Sweet transitioned from an impressive 29-year career with a well-known indoor furniture brand and joined a three-person Agio sales team covering Virginia, North and South Carolina, Georgia and Alabama.
“Indoor retailers who moved away from selling outdoor furniture 25 years ago will return to marketing this category,” Sweet predicted. Agio's ability to merge comfort, design and quality at a value price, outstanding customer service and available factory direct shipment terms are key selling points for these retailers, Sweet said.
“His wealth of experience and keen sense of market trends will not only make him a great salesperson, but also offer great selling advice for our other teammates,” said Doug Peppler, Agio's vice president of sales.
As a Barcalounger sales representative since 1980, Sweet earned many sales awards, and was named Barcalounger's 2008 Representative of the Year.
