Int’l Pool | Spa | Patio Expo celebrates industry excellence

DALLAS - The Association of Pool & Spa Professionals (APSP) will celebrate industry leadership, knowledge and production excellence at the Nov. 5-7 International Pool | Spa | Patio Expo (PSP) through a host of special events and activities.

The 2014 Int’l Pool | Spa | Patio Expo Welcome Party and the APSP International Awards of Excellence will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 5 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at B.B. King’s Blues Club, located in Pointe Orlando, offering a blues club-style with live music and authentic Memphis-style BBQ appetizers. Advance registration is required.
“Last year’s inaugural sponsorship by the APSP International Awards of Excellence at the 2013 Welcome Party was a memorable an outstanding display of the industry’s finest,” said Tracy Garcia, CEM, director of the International Pool I Spa I Patio Expo. “We are looking forward to another incredible celebration in 2014.”
APSP will host a WAVE Young Professionals Networking Reception at Cuba Libre on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for its young professionals. The WAVE Young Professionals Network, targeted to the next generation of pool and hot tub professionals, is a group representing the industry’s and association’s future leaders. The IHTA under APSP will also hold an open meeting for any attendee whose business has anything to do with hot tubs. The latest information in the areas of engineering, regulations, statistics, marketing and international partnerships will be discussed.
APSP will also host the second Big Dogs’ Celebration exclusively for individuals holding APSP certifications (CBP, CSP, CST, CMS and CHTT) in the APSP booth, #3829, on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Attendees can socialize with certified industry peers and celebrate achievements while sampling Florida craft beers and selected wine.
“The PSP Expo is the largest annual gathering of industry professionals from across the supply chain,” said Rich Gottwald, CEO and president of APSP. “We’re proud to present out world class training and networking opportunities to the industry at this even and look forward to giving attendees the knowledge to grow their business, and an experience they won’t soon forget.”
Attendees of the show are encouraged to visit the APSP booth for coffee and conversation with Carvin DiGiovanni, APSP’s senior director of technical and standards, at Coffee With Carvin, Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 10 to 11 a.m. Have APSP standard and technical issues answered immediately from an industry expert and learn about new trends in the standards and regulatory arena.
