HPBA hires senior communications manager

HPBACarrie deGuzman has joined HPBA as a senior manager, communications.

DeGuzman was previously with MDG, a public affairs agency, where she served as an account cirector. Prior to that, she worked with American Society for Assn. Executives (ASAE) and the Council on Social Work Education.

DeGuzman brings a great mix of skills to HPBA and will provide leadership in communications and marketing for the association, with emphasis on promotional programs, marketing Expo, government affairs communications, HPBA’s website and publications. She will directly support HPBA’s Communications Committee and Barbecue Section and will report to Jack Goldman.
