Gabby partners with Plant It 2020

-- Casual Living, 5/17/2010 5:02:00 AM

Gabby, the interior furniture division of Summer Classics, has announced a new partnership with Plant It 2020.

For every order Gabby receives, the Montevallo-Ala.-based manufacturer makes a donation to plant an indigenous tree in a non-harvest area in a country of need. “Plant it 2020 is a great organization and we are proud to partner with them,” said William White, vice president, Gabby Home.

Gabby was launched in early 2010 by Summer Classics, Inc., one of the nation's largest, family owned manufacturers and retailers of outdoor furniture.

“Our development team travels the world to find unique treasures that inspire us," White said. "We then take these ideas to some of the best craftsman we can find to create what we believe to be one of the most unique offerings of handcrafted furnishings in the industry. Our family has been designing and crafting furnishings with passion for over a quarter of a century. We strive to continuously improve our products and delight our customers."

He explained Gabby’s mission is to:
Create - Gabby never stops creating beautiful, unique products.
Inspire - Gabby inspires and excites our customers and prospects.
Serve - Gabby serves the community.

Summer Classics is a premier furnishings designer, manufacturer, and retailer founded on the concept that truly creative design will be embraced for generations.

Plant-It 2020 is a nonprofit foundation, started in 1992 by singer John Denver, that performs worldwide tree-planting, donates fuel-efficient cooking stoves to needy families, and provides forestry, soil, and biochar education.

Its services not only help reforest the world's cities and forests, the foundation provides direct humanitarian aid by reducing hunger, thirst, malnutrition, poverty and indoor pollution while increasing the sustainability of not only the world's forests but also its people.
