The Pride Family Brands' Buyer Open House recently debuted with heavy buyer activity. The high-end casual furniture manufacturer anticipates the same heightened interest level for the summer casual markets in Chicago next month and in September. In May and June, specialty retailers were invited to the furniture showroom at Pride Family Brands' headquarters in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. to view selections for the 2011 Summer Winds Collections of wrought iron, steel and aluminum outdoor living collections.
"As a result of the turnout for our open house program, we are optimistic for the 2011 season," said Jamie Lowsky, C.E.O. of Pride Family Brands. "The activity and buying was strong. Many buyers attending were ready to write orders. New placements also look to be up for 2011, which will allow us to begin scheduling production to hit customer delivery schedules."
The Ft. Lauderdale open house program, instituted by Lowsky, serves primarily the mid-size retailers offering a look at dining and deep seating products from Summer Winds that had viewings in the previous months by retailers who visited Pride's factory showroom in China. In July and September, buyers also will be invited to view both Castelle and Summer Winds brands at the Pride Family Brands' showroom at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.
