Gazebo structures will serve as stage for July broadcasts from Prince Edward Island

GIBSONIA, Pa. — When Live! with Regis and Kelly transplants its hosts, guests and entertainment-oriented daytime talk show to Canada's beautiful Prince Edward Island in July, the stage literally will be set with a custom-designed gazebo by Pennsylvania's outdoor living manufacturer, GazeboCreations.com.
The gazebo will be the show's home away from home in Confederation Landing Park within historic Charlottetown, the capital city of Prince Edward Island Beginning July 12, the famed talk show hosts will use the gorgeous gazebo as "home base" throughout the four-day remote broadcast.
"The producers of 'Live!' were looking for an outdoor structure that could provide the perfect covered yet open venue for the hosts and their guests," said Tim McTighe, president of GazeboCreations.com. "We were selected based on our ability to create the traditional look the historical setting demanded as well as our ability to meet their tight time frame and international shipping needs."
The gazebo, which will be manufactured at the Pittsburgh, Pa. headquarters of GazeboCreations.com and assembled on site will measure 10' x 20' to accommodate the show's conversational style staging.
The Live! gazebo will be constructed of the weather resistant vinyl material with classic cedar shake shingles and cedar flooring. It was no surprise to McTighe and his staff that the set designers chose the striking Belle Roof gazebo.
"The romantic and eye-catching silhouette is a favorite for any installation and especially those in which people constantly will be snapping photos," McTighe said. "Celebrities or not, it creates a great photo opp."
In addition to the on-air exposure of the gazebo, Live! will include GazeboCreations.com on the program's Web site and within promotions related to the show. Viewers will be able to share in the show's planned giveaways and activities and link directly to products utilized in the broadcast, including the gazebo and its creator.
"The show is much like today's homeowners and commercial entities in its desire to maximize the beautiful setting with protected yet open living spaces that are designed to fit their needs exactly," said Mike Donaldson, director of sales for GazeboCreations.com. "When they asked if we could customize a gazebo for the show, I told them that we customize our gazebos for everyone!"
