Industry veterans launch Paragon Casual

 

Plan to serve contract, hospitality niche

HOUSTON — Paragon Casual, casual furniture manufacturer of aluminum and

wrought iron furniture and stone table tops, has formed under the leadership

of industry veteran Steve Tsai as CEO and Kathy Haney as national sales

manager.

"This new venture opens many opportunities for us and our dedicated customers

in the casual industry," said Tsai, who brings experience as Design Décor

president. "Paragon Casual will be based out of an 180,000-sq.-ft. warehouse

location in Houston, Texas. This move was necessary to keep up with the

continued growth of the business and to increase our stateside warehouse

inventory for better customer support. In addition, it allows us room for

expansion into the contract and hospitality marketplace."

Haney brings nearly 20 years of experience in the casual furniture industry.

"I began as temporary employee in this business on assignment to Allibert in

their customer service department," she said. "Within a matter of a few

weeks, I was devoted to this industry and have never left. The last 18 years

(while) employed by Outdoor Lifestyle, I worked in almost every arena of the

business. I look forward to working with my business comrades and making new

ones as we all work together to make Paragon Casual the ‘must have line.'"

The company will exhibit at the International Casual Furniture Market in

September on the 8th floor of the Merchandise Mart, booth  8-4077.
