Opens headquarters in LA

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 8/19/2010 6:39:39 AM

HARBOUR OUTDOOR, Australia's leading contemporary outdoor furniture manufacturer, has opened its North American headquarters and distribution center in Los Angeles.

At this month's Las Vegas Market, the company introduced its Clovelly and Balmoral collections, named for two of Sydney's world-renowned beaches. It also plans to exhibit next month at the Casual Market in Chicago. With showrooms already in place, Harbour Outdoor's newLos Angeles headquarters offer the market swift distribution as well as streamlined customer service.
Balmoral sectional     "We are extremely excited to bring quality Australian designed outdoor furniture to the North American market," said Alexander Eburne, CEO Harbour Outdoor North America. "Los Angeles is a perfect location from which to set a foundation. The new location allows us to reach further and farther, quicker and more effectively. Our quick ship program exemplifies this."
Inspired by Australia's diverse cosmopolitan culture, progressive attitude and quest for innovation, Harbour Outdoor's collections are the first Australian designed contemporary outdoor furnishings to be distributed in North America. Ranging from dining settings and sun lounges to deep seating and custom commercial offerings, Harbour Outdoor's contemporary outdoor furniture offers a diverse selection to suit nearly any environment.
Harbour Outdoor remains focused on including the most innovative, durable and environmentally friendly materials in its designs.
"One of the most appealing features of Harbour Outdoor is the drive to ensure nothing short of the highest quality materials, construction and styling while maintaining an eye toward sustainability" Eburne said. "The competitive nature of today's marketplace, not to mention the demands of an ever-evolving consumer, calls for products that are unique, embrace quality, longevity and sensible pricing. I am proud to finally bring quality Australian designed furnishings to the North American market."
Debuting this month, its modular Balmoral sectional offers more than 15 possible configurations, incorporating an array of colors and a removable cushion cover system for ease of maintenance. Balmoral is situated on a solid high-pressure compact laminate surface supported by laser cut, tapered, powder coated aluminum legs. Polymer inserts support the interchangeable back and arm cushions, which are enclosed in a removable Sunbrella fabric cover featuring contrasting colored piping.
Also making its debut is Clovelly, a high style, low-maintenance collection for the ultra contemporary user. Clovelly's dining set fuses modern interior styling with outdoor living. The flat-bar aluminum frame defines Clovelly as the lines sync in perfect form between the table frame, surface and chairs.
The sleek lines of the Piano Collection with its aluminum frames and high-pressure compact laminate impeccably contrast the diffusing glass and teak accents of the Breeze Collection. Sunbrella fabric used in the Coast Collection as well as the batyline mesh of the Soho Collection ensure the furnishings will withstand even the most extreme climates.
