Design Excellence winners named

The International Casual Furnishings Association has named 11 winners of 2010 Design Excellence Awards.

The criteria for judging each casual furnishings category included: overall design, marketability, product innovation, color, construction and imaginative use of materials. ICFA members, who are casting votes this week for the Lillian B. Winchester Best of Show Award, will consider these same criteria as they review the category winners and select the one they believe deserves the top honor. Voting for the Best of Show Award is open through Tuesday, Sept. 21, opening day of the Casual Market at the Merchandise Mart in Chicago.
The Best of Show winner will be announced and the 11 category awards presented during the ICFA Awards reception from 6:30-8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 22 at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago Ballroom, 112 S. Michigan Ave. The first Sales Representative of the Year Award also will be presented along with the reintroduced Manufacturer of the Year Award at the reception for ICFA members and invited guests.
