New York, N.Y. — Celebrity Chef Jamie Oliver has tapped Hermes-Otto International USA to bring his culinary lifestyle to retailers and homes across America with a new line of kitchen and entertaining products.
Star of the Emmy-award-winning TV show "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution," Oliver's culinary crusade to make cooking easy, healthy and fun is taking America by storm and Hermes-Otto is now offering a vast range of products under the Jamie Oliver brand including kitchen accessories, textiles, outdoor entertaining, barbeque products, cutlery, stemware and children's gifts.
"We're thrilled to partner with Jamie Oliver and help translate his love for cooking and healthy eating into distinctive, affordable products that we hope will bring joy and inspiration to people's homes and kitchens," said Wil Hollands, president of Hermes-Otto International USA LLC.
"I've designed this range to make cooking easy and fun," Oliver said. "From gathering round the barbie with friends to cooking with children, this line has it all."
The assortment, housed in the company's penthouse showroom at 489 Fifth Avenue in Manhattan, reflects Oliver's food values with quality products that are practical, fun and without pretension - perfect for entertaining indoors and out. The 2011 offering includes high-quality (and portable) charcoal barbecues, melanine bowls (great for outdoor entertaining), platters and barware in vintage hues, a hand-cranked pasta machine, stylish stainless steel cutlery, recycled glassware, and organic cotton tablecloths, whimsical denim apron and placemats.
Teaching kids how to cook and eat properly is central to Jamie's food philosophy, and as such the line offers great children's gift ideas and educational tools, like "Grow Your Own Herbs" kits and a "Paint Your Own Apron" set.
Available now, Jamie Oliver products are targeted to department stores, cooking shops and gourmet stores.
Best known as "The Naked Chef", Jamie made waves earlier this year with "Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution," a primetime, ABC-TV show that challenged a West Virginia town to change the way were eating at home, at school and in the community. The show, which won an Emmy for Outstanding Reality Program, will return to ABC in March.
