Brown Jordan promotes Stephen Elton

To new position as VP of sales and marketing

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 12/7/2010 1:19:00 PM

Brown Jordan, a leading manufacturer of luxury outdoor furnishings, announced today the promotion of Stephen Elton to the new position of vice president of sales and marketing.

An expert in the luxury outdoor furniture sector, Elton has deep knowledge of the history of Brown Jordan, and will lead the way in expanding the company's trade business worldwide. This appointment signals the company's new charge to ramp up its trade efforts.

"I'm thrilled to have Stephen take on this role with Brown Jordan," said Gene Moriarty, CEO of Brown Jordan. "With Stephen's long career at Brown Jordan, he has a true understanding of the heritage of our product, plus a clear understanding of how to expand the ever-demanding trade business which is crucial for elevating Brown Jordan to an even greater position in the global market."

One major trade initiative celebrates the return of The Richard Frinier Collection for Brown Jordan, with a trilogy of soft-modern designs - Still, Drift, and Cloud Nine - which evoke rest and relaxation. The co-branded line, developed by the legendary home furnishings designer, continues a 20-year collaboration throughout the '80s and '90s that produced the stronghold iconic product designs that remain the company's best-selling merchandise.

In addition, Brown Jordan commissioned renowned German furniture designer Mathias Hoffmann to create a bold and innovative collection - Architect, Cubic and Shape - that is sculptural and evokes natural, organic qualities.

Both collections are displayed at the company's newly expanded proprietary showrooms - in Los Angeles on the street level at the Pacific Design Center and in High Point, N.C.
The High Point showroom was unveiled in October during High Point Market, the largest international exhibition of residential furnishings.
