The Rug Market America returns to AmericasMart

LOS ANGELES, Calif. — The Rug Market America will return this month to AmericasMart in Atlanta after a five-year absence.

A new suite in the Mart's HOME section will open with a Jan. 13 ribbon-cutting ceremony coordinated by the staff of AmericasMart. Day-long refreshments and a sweepstake drawing for $500 toward an at-show order, sponsored by the designer rug manufacturer, will be open to all buyers.

"We are excited to be returning to Atlanta and especially to our new suite within the HOME section," said Mike Shabtai, owner of The Rug Market America. "We already are hearing from buyers that they are excited about our presence and our location."

The all-day celebration will mark not only a new showroom, but the relocation from the traditional rug venue. In the HOME section on the 12th floor, The Rug Market America will be able to better exhibit its contemporary looks in designer rugs.

Included in the January 2011 market introductions are never-before-seen rugs incorporating crystal elements within the designs as well as new additions to the Expressions line of hip travel and trends themes. The entire selection from The Rug Market America will be on display for buyer reviews during the week-long market and concurrent rug market.

"We are looking forward to the debut of The Rug Market America's new showroom in HOME at the January 2011 Market," said Katie Belveal, executive director of leasing, HOME, AmericasMart Atlanta. The ribbon cutting is set for 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13.

The Rug Market America, which also exhibits at the World Market Center in Las Vegas and within showrooms in Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and High Point, will exhibit at Suite 12-C-1 in AmericasMart.
