Summer Classics to debut seven lines at Atlanta market

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 1/6/2011 12:51:19 PM

Summer Classics will unveil seven lines at the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market, Jan. 12-19.

Dream Cushions by Summer ClassicsDream CushionsIn its new collections, classic designs are combined with new products and materials. Lines such as Equestrian, Croquet, Rustic and Aqua offer classic style and plush seating, while Savannah and Viento feature clean lines and contemporary designs.

Summer Classics also introduced more than 90 new Colores fabrics for 2011 in a variety of colors and textures. Of the 163 fabrics available, more than 100 are exclusive to Summer Classics, giving furniture a customized look and feel.

"With respect to our fabrics, we follow the fashion industry as opposed to looking at what other outdoor furniture companies are doing. I think that's how we've managed to stay ahead of others and be successful with our fabrics," said Hillary Mickleboro, a designer for the company.

Angela Paumen, general manager for the Summer Classics cushion factory, said, "Our fabrics stand apart in the marketplace because of their sophistication, variety and exclusivity to the Summer Classics customer. We have introduced a new gray and gold fabric story that is fresh and exciting and very prevalent in the fashion industry, but we also merged into new shades of blue and green, and we also added more yellows."

In addition to adding several new collections and new fabrics, Summer Classics has also added the Dream Cushion, a soft, durable and water-resistant design that offers a 1.8-inch density and California fire-rated foam for maximum comfort and resiliency. The woven water-resistant jacket features a "pillow top" of blown-fiber channels, providing for better quality and softness.

Dream Cushions are available on select collections, including Aqua, Croquet, Equestrian, Classic Wicker, Palm and Savannah.

Summer Classics is showing in Building 2, WestWing, space 10-C-91.
