AMS Imports adds new fabrics to 2011 Rain or Shine Collection

AMHERST, Mass. — AMS Imports has unveiled the newest additions to the Rain or Shine Collection of area rugs.

The indoor/outdoor rugs are made from 100% polypropylene yarns in a cablelock construction, woven in four different styles with outdoor, acrylic fabric. Rain or Shine rugs offer increased durability and are resistant to mold and mildew from humidity and fading from UV ray exposure.
AMS Imports has added bright, vivid colors like the orange found in the design Orange Sherbert. With a reputation for being on the cutting edge of home furnishings style, these new fabrics were added by the company after considering direct input from the interior design community and seasonal trends in fabrics and colors.
"Paisley Parade - a rich, ruby red paisley print, elegant drama. Filigree is reminiscent of the traditional fleur-de-lis in dramatic black on white, with Atlantic it's softer Provencal blue & white palette," said AMS Imports Founder Anne Schewe.
The 2011 collection also features a tranquil, "spa-like" feel with the new Opal Veranda with Sand Beige. "An area rug perfectly suited for the spa room, enclosed sun porch or even the bedroom," added Schewe.
AMS has also recently included "sisal look" designs. The Surged Solids, featuring a main theme in bronze with five of the styles offering edges surged in Black, Olive, Midnight Blue, Cedar Rose and Seal Brown. AMS believes these designs are perfect for those looking for sophisticated outdoor accessories that enhance existing outdoor fabrics while remaining understated and elegant. The "sisal-look" designs offer the natural aesthetic of real jute, but stand up to the climate.
Rain or Shine area rugs are suitable for the pool area, patio, deck or porch, but AMS finds that many designers bring the rugs indoors to bathrooms, bedrooms and sun porches. "Really a versatile, yet beautiful area rug," Schewe said.
The Rain or Shine Collection features 54 different style options in 10 stock sizes, and custom sizing is available. Stock sizes are delivered in 14 days. The Rain or Shine Collection is manufactured in the United States.
