WOODARD, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Craftmade International, has announced the appointment of Rick Baker as vice president of sales for the Eastern region.
Baker brings more than 25 years of experience in the casual and outdoor furniture business. Most recently, Baker was the national sales manager for another outdoor furniture manufacturer. Baker previously served as the president of the Casual Furniture Retail Association and had received the prestigious Apollo Award, which recognizes the nation's top retail furniture stores.
"Hiring a proven, casual furniture industry veteran with over 25-years' experience ranging from sales executive to president of a furniture retail store brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Woodard," said Marcus Scrudder, chief executive officer for Craftmade. "As a former owner of a casual furniture retail store, Rick has a unique perspective and understands the needs of our customers. He provides immediate value to our sales team and will be a great asset for Woodard in the long-term."
"I am excited and proud to be working with Woodard," Baker said. "I have virtually spent my entire career in the casual furniture industry and Woodard has always maintained one of the strongest reputations for the quality, design, customer service and value. I look forward to being part of a professional organization focused on providing the best overall service for our customers."
