AmericasMart fall markets to align

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 2/14/2011 12:09:23 PM

ATLANTA — AmericasMart will pair the Atlanta Apparel Market together with the Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market and Atlanta Gourmet Market this fall.

Collectively, these markets will comprise one all-encompassing shopping environment for retailers, scheduled for Oct. 13-17, 2011 (Gift & Home Furnishings Market: Oct. 14-16).

"We have a dynamic offering of products in our Apparel markets and in our Gift & Home Furnishings markets, and we continue to see key categories evolve and cross over," said Jeffrey L. Portman, Sr., president and COO of AmericasMart. "Hosting these markets together is an ideal opportunity to provide more buying power to our retailers, and more retailers to our exhibitors. It ultimately enhances the overall market experience."

Concurrent markets add a unique value to gift, home and apparel retailers. For the first time, retailers will have the opportunity to explore and discover categories outside their traditional merchandise. They will be able to fully leverage the comprehensive product collections and cross-merchandising opportunities offered in the more than 31 temporary and permanent categories at AmericasMart.

Both the Apparel and Gift & Home Furnishings markets will operate as normal with respect to show hours and exhibitor locations.

In addition, retailers will benefit from a host of educational seminars, events and entertainment. Activities will interweave topics and trends covering gift, home and apparel, providing industry-specific insight and showing the advantages of blending these categories. Event details and specific highlights will be forthcoming as the fall markets approach.

The Atlanta Apparel Market takes place Oct. 13-17, 2011 (Temporaries: Oct. 13-16), and the Fall Gift & Home Furnishings Market and the Atlanta Gourmet Market will be held Oct. 14-16, 2011.
