FloatStorage.com creates outdoor living subsidiary

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 2/21/2011 10:17:39 AM

DALLAS — FloatStorage.com has announced the creation of a sister company, Urban Patio Living, which will expand the FloatStorage product line to include backyard firepits, torches, patio heaters, storage products, LED lamps, teak furniture, flooring and accessories, and poolside décor.

Urban Patio LivingThe Urban Patio Living line includes the following manufacturers: TRC Recreation Products, Patio Living Concepts, USA Pool Toys, T2 Products International, Infinita Corporation, Hearth Products, Outdoor Lamp Co., Smart Green, Nekdoodle, Spazazz and Fattowels.

FloatStorage.com made its debut at the 2008 Las Vegas Pool & Spa Expo with its premier product, The Original Hanging Float Rack, which established the company in the industry.

"As the initial product's popularity grew, feedback from both retailers and customers indicated a need for durable, high-end storage items, so we went to work manufacturing other products that were needed in the market," said FloatStorage.com President Bob Schuetz. "Our line expanded to include the Noodle House, Super Noodle House and several other varieties of float and pool accessory storage units."

"As we expanded our own line, we created with other like-minded companies who focus on long-lasting, state-of-the-art products. Things evolved, and we became distributors for some of the most well-known manufacturers in the industry. The addition of the subsidiary, Urban Patio Living, was not an overnight decision, but something that evolved and began to make more and more sense as FloatStorage.com began to make its own name," said Schuetz.

The Urban Patio Living line will include the original FloatStorage products, but the concept of backyard living and outdoor entertaining will be the new company's focus.

"We won't carry products that you can purchase at your local home improvement or pool store. The Urban Patio Living line offers alternatives to what you see in most retail stores," said Schuetz.

"We have remote control gas tiki torches that don't require messy oils, gels or matches," said Schuetz. "We carry stylish outdoor lamps that will even fit into the umbrella hole in your patio furniture. For parties, items like our Bonfire Patio and Deck Heater give an upgrade - both aesthetically and warmth-wise - to the traditional mushroom-type outdoor heaters. For do-it-yourselfers, our Hearth Products line allows homeowners to create their own outdoor fire pits and fireplaces. From interlocking teak wood flooring tiles and furniture to heavy-duty outdoor furniture covers, we will be a one-stop shop. And our pricing will match that of all the manufacturers we represent, so there's no need to go hopping around the web placing orders with multiple suppliers."

Urban Patio Living was launched in January 2011. The full line of Urban Patio Living products can be viewed at urbanpatioliving.com.
