Skyline Design opens permanent showroom in Chicago

MIAMI — In order to establish a presence at the epicenter of the casual furniture industry, Skyline Design North America has announced the opening of a permanent showroom on the 15th floor of Chicago's Merchandise Mart Design Center.

"Success at the Chicago casual markets is ultimately driven by great products, and now with a permanent presence we are excited to showcase some of Skyline Design's innovative outdoor furniture," said Judith Calzadilla, vice president of Skyline Design North America.

Showrooms on the Mart's 15th floor are open for business Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Skyline Design showroom is located at 15-110, and the phone number is (312) 265-0420. The showroom manager is Dianna Gniadek, who is reachable via e-mail at dianna@skylinedesign.com.

Skyline Design is a manufacturer of lightweight, weather-resistant and functional styles, applying weaving materials such as Viro, Rehau, and Ecolene. These synthetic fibers provide chemical and UV resistance, and the furniture is safe for the environment and 100% recyclable.

There will be a variety of collections available in the showroom such as the Bishan and Topaz for deep seating. Some of the dining options presented will be the Pacific Cube, Lanna, Madison and a sampling of all dining chairs and bar stools, in stock for immediate shipment. The Miha chaise and Mercy Hanging Chair will also be featured.

"We feel the upcoming Neocon show and July ICFA pre-market shows taking place at the Merchandise Mart will prove to be a great opportunity to establish new dealers and accounts for 2011," said Calzadilla.
