Ashley marketing team raises $1,600 for High Point food bank

HIGH POINT -- Ashley Furniture collected and donated $1,600 to the food bank at West End Ministries in High Point.

West End Ministries is a community center focused on working with residents and other stakeholders to make the West End area of the city a safer and better place to live.

“One of the major takeaways the team received from Tony Robbins this summer was the importance, privilege and opportunity of giving back. The power of this message has the Ashley Furniture marketing team buzzing on how we can give back to the High Point community that we spend so much time in each year,” said Anna Alessi, senior marketing specialist, Ashley Motion Division.

West End Ministries has many different branches to service the community, but the branch that most in need is its food bank, which just suffered a two-thirds cut in funding, which has forced it to turn families away.

“We were thinking the best way to help contribute would be to collect donations and fill the pantry,” said Alessi.
