CONOVER, N.C. — Zenith Global Logistics has purchased the former Boyles Furniture building in Conover, N.C. and will move its corporate headquarters to the site.
The new facility will boost Zenith's home furnishings storage and handling capacity by more than 30% in North Carolina, giving the company 242,000 square feet of warehouse, furniture repair, home delivery and office space.
"As our business has grown, we've expanded strategically throughout North America and Asia, but for some time now we've really needed a larger headquarters facility here in North Carolina," said Jack Hawn, president and CEO. "The availability of this building ... came at the perfect time."
The building had belonged to Boyles Furniture, a prominent upper-end retailer that emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in March 2010, but went out of business earlier this year.
