High Point Design Society to host "Outdoor Living and Design in 2011"

Society's Lunch and Learn event to feature Cinde Ingram and Sally Pagliai

On Wednesday, May 11, the High Point Design Society will host its monthly Lunch and Learn event - "Outdoor Living and Design in 2011" - featuring Casual Living Editor-in-Chief Cinde Ingram and architectural landscape designer Sally Pagliai. Scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m., the event will take place in the Legacy Fine Casual Furniture showroom in the 200 Steele building in downtown High Point, N.C.

The discussion will cover topics about outdoor living spaces - designing them, interacting with designers and vendors, what works, what the challenges are, trends, budgets, best projects and more.

About Cinde Ingram

Cinde W. IngramCinde W. Ingram has been the editor-in-chief of Casual Living since June 2007. She formally was the managing editor of Casual Living and business editor of Home Accents Today. Prior to September 2001, she was the executive editor and a senior reporter for The Thomasville Times. She was an award-winning reporter for The News & Record in the early 1990s. Ingram began covering the High Point Market while she worked for The High Point Enterprise during the 1980s. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Journalism in 1982.


About Sally Pagliai

Sally Pagliai is the owner of Studio Pagliai (studiopagliai.com) based in Greensboro, N.C. For more than 25 years, Pagliai (pal-e-‘eye) has worked with some of the most prominent homes, estates and gardens in the world. A student of the University of California at Berkeley and the UC International Program in Florence, Italy, Pagliai holds a bachelor of science in landscape architecture from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. She apprenticed with world-renowned landscape architects Peter Walker and Martha Schwartz. Her expertise assures Studio Pagliai clients world-class design solutions that are functional and beautiful.
