Outdura CEO C.P. Davis departs

HUDSON, N.C. — Outdura Corp., a subsidiary of Sattler North America, has announced the departure of CEO C.P. Davis.

Davis had previously served as president over all operations while owned by Shuford Mills and was an advisor to the Shuford Mills family and board since May 2006. He was named CEO of Outdura Corp. upon the acquisition by the new parent company, Sattler AG, in December 2010 and has led the new organization through its initial transition stage.

Mr. Manfred Heissenberger, Sattler's senior global sales executive, will assume oversight of sales and marketing duties at Outdura. Natalie Scott, VP of casual furniture, and Jeff Jimison, VP of marine/awning, will report to him.

"C.P. leaves Outdura with the satisfaction of knowing that the company he led for over five years is better positioned than ever to pursue its market leadership aspirations," said Heissenberger.

Heissenberger has more than 10 years of experience working in the SDA industry. He was instrumental in starting up the Sattler North American business in 2006.

"Since meeting the Sattler organization, I've found the company to be very committed," said Davis. "They understand the enormity of the opportunity before them, and they're more than prepared to execute on it. I've seen their focus to grow the business and expand the outdoor fabric industry. It is now time for the new ownership and leadership to take charge and move the company forward to greater heights."

Davis did not state his immediate plans, but added, "I have enjoyed working with very talented, committed professionals in the outdoor fabrics channel and plan to stay very close to the industry."
