Designer Laurie Jenkins to launch new website and product collection

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 8/25/2011 3:46:37 PM

Design innovator Laurie Jenkins is launching a new website - lauriebell.com - and collection featuring her branded line of rugs, umbrellas, ottomans, pillows and made-to-order cushions.

The website offers access to product and company information, round-the-clock ordering and help in addressing consumer questions about new products and ways to design their outdoor space.

"Creating the new site was motivated by the desire to offer an authentic online experience to visitors including consumers and residential designers," said Jenkins. "We are striving to help our customers customize their space, whether they want to refresh it with colorful pillows or take the coordinated look to a whole new level. The U.S.-based customer service team has the design background and the knowledge to make it work."

The Laurie Bell Collection

Known for her high fashion, high performance and luxury-plush, all-weather fabrics, the new Laurie Bell Collection emphasizes color.

The palette has an eclectic allure, featuring intricate patterns and designs in vibrant and dramatic tones. The garden-inspired color stories feature vivid oranges, corals and reds, neutral terra cottas paired with soft grays and chocolate browns, and serene aqua blues and greens.

Created in the USA, the Laurie Bell designs use 100% high UV solution-dyed acrylic fabrics and are individually selected by Laurie Jenkins.

"I spent years researching ways to create performance fabric that is long-lasting, easy to maintain, soft to the touch and beautiful to look at," Jenkins said. "I sought out the highest-performance textile formulas, fibers and dyes, and craft fabrics with yarns that offer superior weather and fade-resistant colors."

Color is the great differentiator, she added. "I work closely with customers who now have more sophisticated expectations and tell me they are testing the waters when bringing color to their outdoor space. I tell them not to worry about playing it safe. Start by using color in small doses. Pairing orange and blue can work. Neutrals are an easy way to mute warm pinks and greens. Experiment with pillows, rugs or an expansive umbrella. With today's technology and a host of fabric and color options, I say go for it and create your own style."
