Eagle Industries has announced the introduction of a collection of eco-friendly outdoor composite furniture called Bear River.
The Bear River line includes a variety of tables, bars, stools, chairs, benches, plant stands, planter boxes and accessory items. Available in a host of earth-tone colors, the Bear River Collection is designed to be long-lasting and resistant to fading, moisture, insects and harmful effects of sunlight.
Eagle Industries has partnered with Natures Composites, based in Torrington, Wyo., to supply high-quality, durable and sustainable wheat straw-based composite material for the Bear River Collection. As a USDA Bio Preferred composite material, Natures Composites is manufactured by combining recycled HDPE plastic with wheat straw. The combination of wheat straw and recycled plastics ensures that the product will not splinter or crack, and can be cut, drilled or processed the same as similar wood products.
According to Eagle Industries company officials, the development of partnerships with domestic companies such as Natures Composites further the company's goal of promoting American manufacturing while reducing long-lasting effects on the environment.
Eagle Industries plans to expand its commercial and residential line in the fall of 2011 to include a variety of new items.
