Storis releases software update

Version 9.8 enhances mobility, e-commerce capabilities

StorisMT. ARLINGTON, N.J. - Storis Retail Software Solutions released the latest version of its software, 9.8, with features that enable retailers to enhance both their customers’ in-store and online experiences.

The 9.8 update will focus on the continued mobility of the platform. “Being a Storis beta tester puts our brand on the fast track of retail innovation," said Harold Hampton, VP, IT and business intelligence for Broad River. "Testing the new release helped us fine tune the technology processes specifically related to mobile and in-store, which enhance Broad River’s customer experience offered through Storis’ software solution.”

Storis utilized an agile software development process, which contributes to the expedited release schedule Storis can achieve. Large development projects are broken down into smaller deliverables, and there is a dedicated project team consisting of programmers, QA technicians and documentation specialists.

“This method is a collaborative effort amongst the production team, which fosters a more creative and cooperative environment," said Sr. Manager of Quality Assurance, Melissa Ocampo. “Using this method has accelerated our enhancement turn-around, which is a huge win for Storis retailers.”

Other features that retailers can take advantage of in the 9.8 update include updates to report scheduling, conversion of quotes to layaways, enhanced finance application processing, finance application management and more.
