Zuo Modern hires Guardiola to direct new home accents division, Zuo Décor

ZuoOakland, Calif. — Zuo Modern Recently launched a new division of home décor and accents, called Zuo Décor, and hired Andrea Guardiola to direct the division.

Guardiola’s passion for the furniture industry started early—she opened her furniture and home décor boutique in Argentina in 1994. As her store’s customer base and designer clients grew, Guardiola began working with furniture brands on their décor collections.

“Each of us expresses our individual experience and personality through our surroundings, and this expression comes through in home décor and accents more than any other,” said Guardiola. “I am thrilled to be able to share and express my passion for design by adding to Zuo’s assortment. My direction for their décor collection will work to enhance the company’s existing collections while adding to the brands’ affordable luxury concept by developing a full line of home accents with applications for any setting. Collections will stay true to Zuo’s motto for fun colors and diverse textures while starting new trendsetting fashions.”

Guardiola, who will relocate to Zuo’s new headquarters in Oakland, California, in June, will spend her first two weeks with her team focusing on cultivating a unique line of home décor and accents while traveling overseas. While reviewing current and upcoming trends, colors and materials, Guardiola and her team will design and develop products for preview during summer markets. Additionally, Zuo’s new décor division will open multiple new showrooms for 2017-2018 seasons.
