Metro Market Projections for Outdoor Furniture

Outdoor furniture sales projected to grow 20.5%

Casual Living Metro Market for Outdoor FurnitureOutdoor furniture sales are projected to grow by 20.5% from 2016 to 2021. Twenty-six states are expected to grow faster than the national average, according to Casual Living's Metro Market Projections for Outdoor Furniture.

The 2016 sales estimates and 2021 projections were developed by PBM's Strategic Insights Team and Easy Analytic Software Inc. Sales figures are based on data available through October 2016 and are subject to revision. Estimates are based on information from the Department of Commerce, the International Trade Commission, sales estimates from manufacturers and retailers, Casual Living consumer surveys and information garnered from discussions with industry executives and analysts.

Projections for 2021 are designed to forecast the changes that statistically adjust for household income, age by race and gender, group quarter population, and births and deaths, along with other forecasting factors. Spending forecasts assume a national rate of inflation that does not vary from one location to another.
