Americasmart vignette exhibition features digital influencers

The Great Reset: Redefining How We Live, Design and Do Business opens at July market

ATLANTA — Next year will be a time of monumental shifts impacting design, retail and industry practices. In the next presentation of its vignette exhibition, AmericasMart Atlanta explores the changing retail and design landscape with lifestyle and design digital influencers. The influencers will reveal four distinct trends as defined by international trend authority WGSN. “The Great Reset: Redefining How We Live, Design and Do Business” premieres at The Atlanta International Gift and Home Furnishings Market, July 11–18, 2017.

Seven digital influencers will create vignettes inspired by WGSN’s autumn and winter 2017/18 trend report using AmericasMart products. The trends—Design Matters, Earthed, Nocturne and Infusion—are showcased by featured designers:

Victoria de la Cámara, Rue

Vicki Gladle Bolick, The Ace of Space

Brittany Hayes, Addison’s Wonderland

Kristin Jackson, Hunted Interior

Mandy Kellogg Rye, Waiting on Martha

Steve McKenzie, steve mckenzie’s

Gen Sohr, Pencil & Paper Co.

Kristin Alber of REstyleSOURCE will create vignettes for the Floor 1 lobbies of AmericasMart Buildings 1 and 2, and dress the set for the AmericasMart Live main stage and interview studio corresponding to the trends. In addition, celebrated interior designer Stan Topol will create a vignette in his signature style for the Building 1 lobby.

The exhibition is presented by AmericasMart, Rue and REstyleSOURCE and sponsored by showroom partners Castelle and Jaipur Living.

“The focus of the AmericasMart Vignette Exhibition is showcasing our buyers what’s new and next in décor and lifestyle product,” said David Savula, AmericasMart executive vice president of leasing. “Through these influencers, we are showcasing not only the evolution of trends but the evolution of how they are disseminated. This gallery is a manifestation of AmericasMart embracing and recognizing the future of the industry, its products and how its news is shared.” WGSN’s Elle Lasher outlines the key trends in a presentation on the AmericasMart Live main stage on Friday, July 14 at 10 a.m.

The signature white party takes place Friday, July 14 at 7 p.m. in the vignette gallery. All market attendees are invited to join for food and festivities as the market’s most popular event returns to celebrate The Great Reset Vignette Exhibition.

The Great Reset Vignette Exhibition is located in Building 1, Floor 14, space 14-D-9, with additional vignettes in the lobbies of Buildings 1 and 2. It will be available for viewing throughout Market and the months thereafter.
