IMAX expands ColorPost with Connie merchandising program for Market

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 10/19/2011 2:35:42 PM

IMAX Worldwide Home will expand its popular ColorPost with Connie merchandising concept program at the fall High Point Market, held Oct. 22-27, with three additional collections, the company announced. Also, Post will appear in IMAX's High Point showroom, IHFC W-446, to promote the concept on Oct. 24 and 25, from 4-6 p.m.

ColorPost with Connie, first introduced in Atlanta during summer market, is designed to draw consumers into stores by recommending small, fast and affordable decorating changes. The merchandising concept incorporates a selection of Imax products divided into color stories.

"Merchandised on flexible, movable display units, the series of decorative accessory pods simplifies the buying process for consumers," Post said. "The concept also mitigates consumers' fears of making costly decorating mistakes since each color story is chosen and color-coordinated for them by a design expert."

The featured color stories represent what's currently selling at retail, Post said. New collections to be featured at the High Point Market include Meadow (green), Pure (white) and Passion (a customer favorite red) color stories.

"At IMAX, we understand that our retailers need solution-based concepts and strategies to bring consumers into stores," said Al Bulak, president, IMAX. "We also realize that no matter where we are in the economic cycle, consumers are more thoughtful about purchasing anything today. Our goal in partnering with Connie is to supply retailers with traffic-building retail design concepts that are designed to drive business now."

"Additionally, the program was created to enable Imax dealers to update their floors without the need for tearing down walls or major capital investments," Post said. "It instantly adds an element of fashion and freshness to any retail format."
