Progressive Business Media creates Impact Awards program

Impact Award Ceremony to be Held at Upcoming NEXT Conference at Nationals Park

NEW YORK/GREENSBORO, N.C. – Progressive Business Media (PBM) announced today the creation of the Impact Awards which will take place at their upcoming NEXT Conference September 25-27 at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. The Impact Awards will include the Mentor Award and three Innovator Awards. The NEXT Conference, now in its fourth year, provides educational and networking opportunities as well as actionable ideas designed to help the next wave of home furnishing leaders and early adopters advance their businesses and careers.

PBM is pleased to honor Kerry Lebensburger of Ashley Furniture Industries with the Mentor Award recognizing an industry leader who, for more than 20 years, has made supporting, coaching and advancing the careers of promising furniture industry professionals a guiding principle of his professional life.

“We feel that it is essential to highlight key industry leaders who have served as mentors and examples of excellence,” said Matt Slaine, CEO of Progressive Business Media. “Kerry Lebensburger is the personification of all this award entails.”

Three retailers will receive Innovator Awards at the event. These will be awarded to the most innovative retailers who have not only set new standards for their business but also make a significant impact in their local community.

“We will reveal Innovator Award recipients over the next several weeks, in our publications and online leading up to the September conference,” Slaine said. “We are excited to honor individuals who have helped advance the industry through their example and have positively impacted the lives of people in their communities.”
