Mr. Bar-B-Q, a supplier of barbecue accessories and outdoor lifestyle tools, is celebrating its 40th anniversary in 2012.
To mark the occasion, the company will hold various contests and product giveaways including a "Search for Mr. or Mrs. Bar-B-Q Contest" and a "40 Giveaways for 40 Years" Facebook Sweepstakes.
"40 years is a huge milestone and one we're proud to celebrate all year long," said Marc Zemel, CEO of Mr. Bar-B-Q. "I look forward to continuing the success and tradition my father started 40 years ago and applauding all we have accomplished. The entire barbecue community has helped us reach this important moment."
Mr. Bar-B-Q will kick off the "Search for Mr. or Mrs. Bar-B-Q Contest" in May 2012. The winner will be named the official Mr. or Mrs. Bar-B-Q in September 2012 and will hold a significant role in the company's future plans for the following year.
"In 2012, we are focused on showing the world what our products are capable of through our recipe contest," Zemel said. "There's nothing more rewarding than seeing our customers create delicious, creative recipes using our tools. We can't wait to see what's in store."
The "40 Giveaways for 40 Years" Facebook Sweepstakes will kick off in the spring, and an assortment of products will be given away each month to dedicated Facebook fans. The contest details will roll out in early 2012.
"We're not only rolling out our new brand packaging with over 400 products in 2012, but we're placing a heightened focus on social media to create a personal connection with our barbecue customers," Zemel said.
