Icon Honors nominations process now open

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 11/29/2011 1:13:38 PM

The 2012 Icon Honors call for submissions and nominations opens today as the official invitation to retailers, manufacturers, sales agents and service providers to enter the gift and home industry's newest awards program.

For the third annual edition of the Icon Honors, all submissions and nominations will made exclusively online, including attachments for all entries, which must be submitted as PDF files. The streamlined online process makes competing for Icon Honors recognition faster and easier than ever, avoids the mailing and shipping of entries and supporting material, and assures all entrants an automatic electronic acknowledgement of their submission or nomination, according to a press release from event sponsor AmericasMart Atlanta.

Icon Honors will be bestowed in three categories - Innovation, Contribution, Achievement. Submissions and nominations can be made at the official website americasmart.com.

Innovation and Contribution honors are conferred by submission. Achievement Honors are conferred only by independent nomination. Submissions and nominations will be independently evaluated by a panel of distinguished judges from the retail, manufacturing and design communities. The 2012 Icon honorees will be announced prior to the Icon Honors 2012 Celebration, scheduled in Atlanta for Saturday, July 14, 2012, during the Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market.

Home and gift industry retailers, manufacturers, sales agencies and service providers all are eligible to compete. All submissions entered in competition for Innovation and Contribution honors must be for programs conducted and completed between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2011.

The Icon Honors is again sponsored by the Gift and Home Trade Association and Casual Living parent company Sandow Media, in conjunction with AmericasMart.
