Cal Flame supports Gang Task Force event

Barbecue manufacturer donates to annual conference

Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 12/1/2011 11:08:00 AM

Cal Flame, a barbecue manufacturer from the Cal Spas family, has made a donation to the California Gang Task Force's 4th Annual National Training Conference, which took place on Nov. 15-18, 2011 in Orange County, Calif.

"At Cal Spas, we are always seeking opportunities that support our local communities," said Casey Loyd, president of Cal Spas. "The California Gang Task Force is an integral part of our community, therefore we felt it was necessary to help fund their organization and efforts to keep our communities safe."

Cal Flame donated a Charcoal Cart to the California Gang Task Force, which was used as a Grand Prize for the raffle held during the conference. The raffle generated funds for the organization to give back to the local communities.

"We would like to thank Cal Flame for their generous Charcoal Cart donation," said Deputy Grover, advisory board member for the California Gang Task Force. "Their donation was a huge hit among attendees, who were excited to see such a large raffle item. We appreciate their support and help in giving back to our local communities."

The National Training Conference was created to provide law enforcement personnel with updated information on organized prison and street gangs, and terrorist groups. The conference thoroughly discussed how these groups and other criminal gangs/groups affect our local communities, jails and prisons. The training provided effective and legitimate applications of the criminal intelligence process, and included specialized workshop-based presentation and materials from recognized experts.
