RH prepares to open new design gallery
September 19, 2017,
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – RH, Restoration Hardware, is opening a new, next-generation design gallery in West Palm Beach in November which will serve as a canvas for the company’s comprehensive collections of luxury home furnishings.
Situated in the heart of the city, the gallery spans nearly 80,000 square feet across four levels. Upon arrival, visitors will discover estate gardens and a public art installation by famed LA-based artist RETNA – wherein the building’s entire eastern façade will be covered in his ancient text-based imagery – as well as an 18-foot-wide by 12-foot-tall wall of cascading water inspired by the iconic fountain in New York City’s Paley Park.
A rooftop space will serve as the central location for the gallery’s culinary experience, conceptualized in partnership withrestaurateur Brendan Sodikoff.
The experience includes a rooftop restaurant where guests can enjoy a seasonal, ingredient-driven menu set within a pyramidal glass and steel atrium complete with chandeliers, trickling fountains and tropical gardens.
Loggias will flank the café and play host to wine vaults and tasting rooms, offering a curated selection of artisanal wines and beers; and the adjacent pantry will serve craft espresso and house-made doughnuts and pastries from Doughnut Vault.
The grand-scale contemporary structure was conceptualized by RH Chairman & CEO Gary Friedman and renowned design architect James Gillam of Backen, Gillam & Kroeger. The official opening date has yet to be announced.
