Anaheim Patio & Fireside wins small business award

The Orange County Business Journal and California State University - Fullerton's Family Business Council presented Anaheim Patio & Fireside with the 2011 Outstanding Small Business Award at their 12th annual Family Owned Business Awards luncheon held last month at the Hyatt Regency in Irvine, Calif.

1. The business must be located in Orange County, Calif.
2. The business must employ fewer than 50 people.
3. The principal owners of the business must reside in Orange County.
4. The business must make material contributions to the Orange County community.

Representing three generations of quality service since 1956, the family members who received the award for Anaheim Patio & Fireside were Phyllis Lorig, president; Bonnie Richins, general manager; and Gregg Richins, Brea store manager.

The award also serves as a tribute to the late president and founder, Kurt Lorig, who passed away in October 2010.
