Casual Living Staff -- Casual Living, 1/17/2012 12:37:57 PM

The California Market Center (CMC) will be hosting the CMC Gift & Home Market, Jan. 17-23, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily, with extended hours until 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 20.

New for 2012, the CMC's lineup of gift and home product has more than doubled with the arrival of new showrooms Rosenberg Group, Filbert & Fig Showroom, Melrose International, Rosalie & Friends, Inc., World Buyers, ESC Trading, Bethany Lowe Designs, Sew Be It, Vickerman Trees & Lighting, TJ's Christmas, Eric Cortina, Katherine's Collection, Lynne's Whim Witch Hats, and more. Located on floors 9, 12 and 13 in the C-wing of the CMC, this expanded Gift, Home Décor and Furnishings showcase has reinforced the CMC as a destination for the fashion, gift and lifestyle industries.

Debuting this week in the new Home Décor & Furnishings area on the 9th floor, C-wing, is furniture and home décor company Filbert & Fig. Its showroom will feature furniture, upholstery, accessories, wall décor, and rugs in traditional, transitional and contemporary fashions by notable brands such as Anthology, Artistica, Boiler & Co., Capel Rugs, Casa Bonita, Currey & Co., Dash & Albert, Eastern Legends, Fauld Town and Country, Francesco Molon, French Heritage, Gabby, Henkel Harris, Belle Meade Signature, Hypnos Beds, Kindel Furniture, Lorts, Motion Craft, Nourison Rugs, Pine Cone Hill, Ralph Lauren Lighting, Sligh, South Cone, Theodore Alexander, Thomasville, Vanguard Furniture, Wesley Hall, and Woodbridge Furniture, and more.

A division of Filbert & Fig, the Rosenberg Group, established in 1987, is a resource for accessories. The showroom represents Abigail's, Dessau House, Napa Home and Garden, Sage & Co., C&S Acosta, Badash Crystal, Imagination Mirror, Belle Meade Signature, Gold Leaf Furniture, Ibolili, Scott Thomas and Vita V Home, among others.

"Our decision to move to the CMC was an easy one," said Scott Rosenberg, president of Filbert & Fig and Rosenberg Group. "We are looking forward to being in a new and exciting location with great energy and high traffic, as well the opportunities we are gaining to develop new business with many different types of retailers and designers who already shop the CMC."

In addition to the new 9C Home Furnishings & Décor area, the 12th floor, C-wing, welcomes an expanded Gift & Home Showcase which more than doubles the size of previous gift, home, seasonal and lifestyle product resources found at the CMC. New 12C showrooms debuting this Market include Melrose International, World Buyers, Rosalie & Friends, Inc., ESC Trading, Bethany Lowe Designs, Sew Be It, Vickerman Trees and Lights, TJ's Christmas, Eric Cortina, Katherine's Collection, and Artistique 5 Design, joining Tainoki Fine Furniture and Drexler Collection / Ars Antigua. These new additions strengthens the CMC's position as a leading holiday resource center in the Western United States.

Additionally, the 40,000-sq.-ft. California Marketing Associates (CMA) showcase on the 13th floor, C-wing, will feature hundreds of lines, including 180 Degrees, Creative Co-op, Surya, Fiesta Toy, Delton Products, Caswell Massey, RAZ Imports and many more.

"We are extremely excited regarding the current buzz surrounding the growing selection of stylish giftware, holiday product, home furnishings and novelty items at the CMC," said Sue Bhanubandh, VP of leasing for the CMC. "This product is a natural addition to our existing showcase of apparel and accessories lines, offering buyers an exciting cross-merchandising mix."

The Gift & Home Market coincides with LA Fashion Market, which runs Monday-Thursday, Jan. 16-18, at the CMC, giving gift, lifestyle & fashion buyers a broad spectrum of merchandise to shop from on several showroom floors including decorative accessories, apparel, personal care items, gifts, jewelry, children's items and more. Adding to buyers' convenience is underground parking, free with any purchase order placed in a CMC showroom. Additionally, select restaurants in the CMC Food Court will be offering discounts on lunch each day.
